Do you need an account?

You do not need to sign up for anything if you only want to search or browse the listings. However, if you would like to post your own listing, you will need to register for a free account.

How do I register for an account?

It’s easy and it’s free! On the login page, simply click on Register to start the registration process. As soon as your are done inputting your information, you will receive an email containing a Verification Code, which you will then input into the site so that we can verify that the email address you gave us is valid.

What do I need to register for an account?

We do not ask you for any personal information such as a credit card number when you register your account. The only required information is your name and zip code, as well as a valid email address.

I’ve found an item that interests me. How do I buy it?

Each of our listings will feature contact information so that prospective buyers can personally contact the seller with questions or offers. After making an offer and agreeing on a method of payment and shipping, it is between the buyer and seller to actually complete the transaction.

FOR SELLERS
How much does it cost to post a listing?

Auction listings are free. Classified listings are $.50.

How long will my listing stay posted?

You can run both Auctions and Classifieds for 1 week, 2 weeks or 30 days.

Renewals of Classified listings cost $.50.

I’m a seller, and I’ve received an offer I’d like to accept on my Classified. Can I accept it now?

Absolutely! A seller is entitled to accept any offer at any time. VillagePeddler simply acts as the venue for introducing prospective buyers and sellers – the actual transaction takes place at the leisure of the parties involved. And unlike most other online marketplaces, VillagePeddler does not receive any portion of the final selling price!

What happens after I’ve sold my item?

After you’ve reached an agreement to sell a Classified item, you need to login to the site and click on Control Panel from the top menu. From there, click on Edit Ad(s) in the left-hand menu. You will then see a list of your current ads. If your item has sold, just click on the “Sold” link next to the corresponding listing and it will be removed from our searchable database.

How can I pull a listing that I’ve already posted?

Login to the site and click on Control Panel from the top menu. From there, click on Edit Ad(s) in the left-hand menu.r from the top menu. From there, click on Edit Ad(s) in the left-hand menu. You will then see a list of your current ads. Click on the "Delete" link to remove your ad.
